Shadowleap watched his leaders sleep deepen as he placed herbs along the many selves spanning his den. Shuffling around and sorting became his primary task for the remainder of that late hour. Every herb was placed tediously into a comfy slit, aligning easily with the next. This was simply practice over many moons being applied to create a version of success. However it brought no feeling, for his mind was in another place. It was on the events of the day, for once making him feel a very real part of nature, it handed him a new fresh tie with the clan. Starting over had been hard, but it was becoming worth the while as time passed on in its glorious river. Although time to him seemed less predictable than a river, but it always led you home, somehow.
Sleep stirred in the toms limbs as each moved with purpose which was soon fully digested. With all the challenges of the day hurdled he now allowed himself to nod his head against the moss covered walls falling into sleep. His body slid slowly to the floor of the den, although he was not aware of it in any sense.

Ravenstar's dream twisted, everything disappeared, and she was walking down a dark forests path. Her ears perked and a cold fog rolled in. Nothing could be seen all around. The mist was heavy in the air and it was hard to breathe.
Inhaling slowly, ice blue eyes squinted to see farther into the screen that lay in front of her. She cautiously stepped forward towards a fading light. Before she made it to far, she was hurled back and slammed to the ground. She gasped for breath as the air was knocked out of her. The light faded away before her and a cold chill fell over her, and she shivered at the sudden change in the temperature. Cold breathing fell to her side, she leapt up and got away from it, she turned around, but saw nothing, her breath still coming in ragged spurts. Her eyes dilated in the darkness as she tried to regain her thoughts. "That was weird" Ravenstar murmured.
A large blur flew through the mist, it's dark red eyes seemed to grasp Ravenstar's fur, she struggled to get away when a wave of pain came over her. "AHH" she screamed. She crumbled to the ground. She put her paws on her head in sudden agony as a burst of pain shot through her skull. "What's going on!?" she hissed as she continued to hold onto her head. The shadow disappeared into the forest, Ravenstar let out a soft gasp, as the sudden pain disappeared as well. "Why?" A voice rang over the forest.
"Why what" Ravenstar groaned getting up from the ground, "Who are you" she demanded. "Why" It asked again, "Why did you kill me!!!" It roared, the shadow appeared infront of her, it's dark red eyes flaring. Ravenstar's eyes widen, "D-d-dad" she stuttered. It's eyes glared at her before trying to attack her again, but Ravenstar was to fast this time, she ran, she ran faster then she ever has before, as it chased her through the forest. She skidded to a hult when she came upon her worst nightmare, the cliff (ever since she fell off one). "No" she gasped, she took a few steps back her eyes full of fear.
The shadow was no where to be seen. She turned back to the forest, but she saw something an image of her father. He was a small black cat with grey spots, and deep red eyes. "Don't let the your fears trick you, be strong, and you'll be able to see the truth" Shockmask smiled at her before he disappeared. "Dad" She murmured and she realized what the shadow was. "I know who you are, don't you dare try to trick me again" She yowled, as the shadow appeared before her, "I'm not scared of you anymore" Ravenstar hissed. The shadow flew at her, going straight through her, Ravenstar fell over the edge in pain, she came crashing down onto hard dirt floor with a sickening thud. Her body crumbled, pain burst through every pore. She mumbled amazed that she was still alive, she groaned and started to get up when another wave of pain shot through her, yet it was not because of her landing, it was another mind breaking headache. She clutched her head with her small paws. Her body shook with pain, but it subsided with her coughing. Ravenstar coughed again and again. The fit racked her body and refused to let go of her as she curled forward to ward off the pain in her chest. Her eyes clutched shut and her body moved with each hack of air through her lungs. "Someone help me!" she shouted.
She opened her eyes to see crimson liquid staining the ground. Another cough came through and she placed her paws down on the cold ground. She pushed herself up, only to fall as more air choking coughs came upon her. "Why am I like this, what is wrong with me?" she asked herself. Her blue eyes looked up at she shadow, she glared at it as it disappeared again.
Ravenstar jerked awake as sunlight hit her face, her small whiskers twitched, she padded out of the den, her eyes scaning the area. She calmed down a bit.

Shadowleaps eyes peeled slowly open, a glaze apparent in them. H'ed had no dreams, nor visions that he could remember from Starclan. Out of the numbness he felt a twisting ache running through his legs. His body was wrapped up against the far corner of the den and his back cold and wet from the moss. He forced himself to his paws moving with a light head on his shoulders, stumbling he managed enough movement to be clear of his den. However soon his paw met another's as half closed eyes swung open from dreariness he crumpled into the dirt. (He tripped over Ravenstars paw falling to the right of her although he hasn't realized)

Ravenstar snorted, "Rise and Shine" she mused. Her eyes glazed over and she turned away yawning a bit. She hissed, and murmured with discomfort, she hated the taste of her own blood that clung to her mouth. She shook her head trying to clear out her thoughts.

Shadowleap rose to his paws. "Not one of my better nights." He said speaking plainly, unaware of the disgusted look on Ravenstars face. " Did you just wake, because I'm glad I didn't have the privledge of stepping over you then. You'd have torn my fur to shreds. I hear thats how some kits go these days. They are afraid to visit your den he joked?" This was mostly out of annoyance, but some of it was meant to be genuinely funny.

"Oh yes they run and hide as soon as they hear me creeping in the shadows" She meowed sarcasticly, she frowned towards the comment, Ravenstar nodded "Yes I did just wake up myself", She then turned and glared at him, "Never again will i take your stupid poppy seed" she hissed.

"you looked peacful enough for the first hour, then after that I guess I nodded off." His eyes were opening and the clarity of the world filled in around him. The gray morning sky presented itself along with a cool calming breeze. In contrast to the nature of this breeze Shadowleap stated Sarcastically,"Well were they to vulgar for your taste or what. You look better rested than myself so, heres my idea, you take some once a week to calm your nerves. You have an important position, and you cant neglect it by neglecting yourself, besides that was our deal." He was trying to slip one over his leader, understanding that she would probably know this and be furious.

"Trying to reason with me won't work, i'm not going back to sleep again" she hissed furiously, "Besides you probably should have taken some yourself" she huffed, outraged. Her tail flicked back and forth and her ears were swivled back.

He couldn't deny her logic so he backed off. "Alright alright, no need to get snippy." He swiveled his tail in the air, "Fresh kill?" The cats from the morning patrol had already gathered some, or at the very least it seemed so. The pile was brimming with prey, so it wouldn't hurt to grab something tasty. Now that the pile was full maybe everyone could relax a little, such things rarely happened in ShadowClan life. He second chanced his relaxed state. What was he thinking, at the very least he should stretch his legs with his own hunt. You could never be lax, being a ShadowClan cat. These thoughts passed quickly through him as he waited for Ravenstars answer.

Ravenstar's mind was else where but she nodded, "Prey sounds.... okay" she hesitated, carefully choosing her words. She picked out a shrew from the pile, she bit into it, the rich, bloody taste filled her mouth, she was enjoying the shrew.

His leaders words were obviously baited, but he ignored them, simply tired of arguing with her. Picking a piece up in his own jaws, he savored the delectable mouse. He had a light hunger on him, but it was very desiring this morning. He devoured his quickly, watching as his Ravenstar picked anxiously at hers. "Whats wrong, did you roll in some of my mouse bile last night?" He was tired of looking into a small mirror of himself. He thought he finally understood why people hated his vulgar pessimistic mood, but at the same time he was sympathetic for her. Knowing that dark mood, and the struggles of life brought them closer. "When your ready to answer let me know, we could get some hunting done." He cracked a small laugh. He probably shouldn't be pushing her, but it was a part of his personality.

"Oh wouldn't you love that" she hissed, she thought about it a hunt in the woods sounded good, she nodded, "Let's go hunting" she plainly spoke, she padded out, not really caring if he followed her or not, she was to angry at herself, she was lost, no she was trapped in the world of that shadow, she was so frustrated.

Shadowleap stood onto his paws feeling the firm ground underneath. He had fully decided not to delve into her mind, at least for this hunt. He wanted peace, and he had a feeling it might be quite a silent hunt regardless. The smell of the marshes shot through his nose, and for a moment he knew not why the smell was so intense. Stumbling upon piles of dead crows he found his answer. "Disgusting." He turned away hoping to breath in cleaner air. "What fool of a cat would stack crow food." The rotting smell made his stomach churn, he felt it would topple out of him.

Following her ears and nose, Ravenstar was lead to the hole where the ground hog would occasionally poke it’s head out. Crouching low, she crept up toward the hole, being sure to stay very very low. Ravenstar watched as it poked it’s head out, then leapt at it. It dove back into the hole just in time, so instead of getting the warm blood and juicy meat Ravenstar wanted, she got a mouth full out dirt. 'Yummy' she grumbled inwardly. She gave up on the groundhog and spotted a shrew, she dove after it biting right into it. Ravenstar licked her lips with her tongue, enjoying the mixed flavor of blood and meat. She turned and took at Shadowleap who looked like we was about to be sick.

OOC: Kinda short sorry.
Shadowleap was so repulsed that he barley noticed his leader catching the groundhog. He closed his mouth and ran his long tail over his nose as a covering. "How do we dispose of this mess Ravenstar?" He dreaded picking it up and carrying it away, that was not only hazardous but disgusting. His fur was pasted with a warmth as his body tried to shake off the nauseating smell.
